BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra criticized senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid for his comments suggesting a potential crisis in India similar to that in Bangladesh. Patra accused the Congress party of attempting to “spread anarchy” and “undermine India through covert means.

Patra drew a parallel to Rahul Gandhi’s “India on fire” statement, saying, “Consider the Congress Party’s mindset. I remember when Rahul Gandhi claimed in Parliament that the country would face burning, riots, and attacks on the Prime Minister. Why did he make such statements? When Rahul Gandhi travels abroad, he covertly meets with individuals and speaks out against India.

“Unable to secure electoral victories, the Congress Party’s frustration is apparent as they attempt to incite anarchy and undermine India through covert tactics,” he added.

Ravneet Singh Bittu, a Union Minister, said Congressman Salman Khurshid” should go to Bangladesh..”

The Congress is “inciting violence” and “undermining Bharat’s democratic institutions,” according to BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla.

Poonawalla wrote on X, “They hate Bharat because they hate Modi.” Salman Khursheed/Congress makes comparisons and encourages—or even begs—for the violence that occurs in Bangladesh to occur in India. Does he desire attacks in India on Hindus? To whom is he gesturing? Vote jihad once, his family has already said; is there now genuine violence? Does this not threaten the democratic institutions of Bharat? They have previously ranked Rajniti higher than Rashtra Niti. Will Congress take action against him?

As for what is happening in Bangladesh, Congress leader Salaman Khurshid said on Tuesday that “everything may look normal on the surface.”

Speaking during the function, Khurshid said, “In Kashmir, everything could appear regular. It might appear as though everything is normal here. While some people think that 2024’s triumph or success was likely only modest and that much more work still needs to be done, we may be celebrating the victory. The truth still stands: something exists beneath the surface. It is still possible for what occurred in Bangladesh to occur here. Things don’t blow up the way they did in Bangladesh because of the spread in our nation.”

Congress MP Pappu Yadav defended Khurshid, saying that “nothing will change in India as long as the current Prime Minister is in power.” But after the prime minister leaves office, anything might occur.”
