TCS introduces ‘criteria’ for employee pay raises and promotions. Find out more details inside
TCS Promotions: Pay raises and promotions at TCS, India’s leading IT company, are now reportedly tied to its recent return-to-office policy.
According to the latest updates, the company has also linked variable bonuses to this policy. This applies to new hires who have completed their required courses and are eligible for higher salaries beyond the standard annual compensation of ₹3 lakh.
A report from TOI indicates that TCS has mandated a full return to the office for all five working days, effectively ending remote work for certain teams. Employees must work from their assigned office locations rather than choosing places closer to home. Some employees are reportedly willing to give up city allowances in exchange for more flexibility. The HR department is considering limited remote work options on a case-by-case basis, the report adds.
Business Today has not independently confirmed this information.
Several other IT companies, including Infosys and Wipro, have also made office work mandatory, signaling the end of remote work. Wipro has announced a policy that requires hybrid work, requiring workers to come into the office three days a week minimum.
