India Criticizes Pakistan for Raising Kashmir Issue at UN, Sends a Strong Message to Global Community
Congress leader Rajiv Shukla took a strong stance against Pakistan’s repeated attempts to bring up the Kashmir issue unnecessarily at the United Nations. Criticizing Pakistan, Shukla pointed out that the Pakistani delegation consistently raises the Kashmir topic, spreading misinformation that does not reflect the actual situation.
He remarked, “Once again, the Pakistani delegation has used this platform to promote falsehoods and misleading information. Spreading lies and misrepresentation has become routine for this delegation, even at international forums. I want to make it clear that true democratic countries operate differently. In the recent free and fair elections, the people of Jammu and Kashmir voted in record numbers. Despite the false narratives, the reality on the ground remains unchanged.”
During the general debate of the Fourth Committee of the UNGA, the Rajya Sabha MP added, “This delegation has yet again used this respected platform to share untruths. Misinformation has become a habit for them on this stage, as they attempt to evaluate the world’s largest democracy using distorted perspectives.”
He further stated, “True democracies have a different approach. In Jammu and Kashmir, the recent elections saw an impressive voter turnout. No amount of misleading information will alter this reality. I urge this delegation to engage constructively here, rather than pursuing divisive political objectives.”
Shukla concluded by saying, “India remains committed to supporting the United Nations’ efforts to combat misinformation.”
