The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) recently hosted an event called “Youth Udyami,” designed to inspire and empower aspiring young entrepreneurs. Held on a Sunday, the event was organized by students from the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) and the Post Graduate Programme for Enterprise Management (PGPEM).

Over 300 students registered for the event, and 50 were selected from various Bengaluru schools to present their entrepreneurial ideas. Amar Sapra, Chairperson of the EPGP, emphasized the importance of persistence and resilience in entrepreneurship, noting that success often requires multiple attempts and a bit of luck.

Participants received mentorship from IIMB students, which helped them refine their pitches and develop sustainable business models. They presented their ideas, focusing on problem identification, customer definition, financial planning, scaling strategies, and launch plans.

One participant, Abhinav, praised the experience, highlighting how the mentorship provided valuable direction for creating viable business models. The results of the presentations will be announced in the first week of August, with the grand finale scheduled for “Prayaas Day” in February 2025. On this day, IIMB professors and industry leaders will judge the top 10 applications and offer feedback on the business models.
